Dear neighbors,
I'm looking for dance classes that do not resemble Zumba or aerobics. While I've always forced myself to be active, the only types of athletic activity I've enjoyed were ballet and figure skating. I'm interesting in getting back into dance, but it's been 40 years since I took a ballet class. I've already studied ballroom to my satisfaction, and belly dancing as well. I took one Zumba class and found it too fast and frenetic. I'm more interested in ballet or something that would appeal to a person who has traditional, classical taste. Perhaps traditional English, Irish, or Scottish dancing would be fun. I've done a Google search for classes, and I found The Ballet Studio in the U District, which offers adult ballet instruction for all skill levels. I'll almost certainly visit The Ballet Studio. Do you have any other ideas, perhaps closer to home?
Thanks!
