It's all been paid for and she has taken out top insurance cover because one of her children suffers with severe epilepsy. However my friend (the mum) has now become quite poorly and her consultant has put her on a lot of medication some of which has to be collected on a weekly basis because of the type of medication that it is. She is also having to have weekly blood tests. She has rang her insurance company and they are refusing to cover her for the trip. She has also rang other companies and no one is willing to insure her. With the way things are going she may have to cancel the family holiday and I know how hard her and her husband have worked for this holiday. I was hoping that some of you might be able to recommend an insurance company that are willing to take on high risk customers or any other advice you think would help. Many thanks in advance Penny x

He had bowel cancer in 2014 but was (thankfully) successfully treated and given the all clear last Christmas. He had a routine follow-up CT scan in November which showed a lesion in his kidney - we have been told that it may or may not be cancer, but the plan at the moment is just to watch and re-scan in 6 months time. He is well in himself and still planning on coming with us but we now have the problem of finding an insurance company that will cover him for the USA without costing more than the holiday itself!- we have tried several so far and are getting nowhere - any ideas? Thought i would share this, i have been trying to get travel insurance for a holiday/wedding i am going to in Santorini in August. Because i have had cancer i knew it would be difficult, anyway i have tried at least half a dozen insurance companies and the prices were staggering ranging from £2,500 (this is for a single 10 trip) £782, £590, etc etc, the lowest i got was £384. I was so annoyed as i have been clear for over two years and even when they insure you it excludes any pre existing conditions, then a lady i work with did a bit of research and came up with a company called insurancewith, (all one word), i put in all my details yet again and it came back with an unbelievable £22.84!!!!!! Well not believing my eyes i got someone to check it all, then i rang the company and a lady went through it all with me and said that the price was just that. Please pass this on to anyone who has had a serious illness it is brilliant, their phone number is 0845 8 687 234 and the website is insurancewith.com Someone posted this on my wall don't if this helps

This was someone who had cancer and was clear for 2 years, but the prices she was being quoted were unbelievable so she was told to try insurancewith.com ( all one word ) and the price she got was £22.84 I have not tried them although I intend to but thought I would let you know.
