I'm looking for a stable in the Woodstock area where she can learn Western and Huntseat riding. (I did Dressage and Show Jumping but want her to decide which she likes better).   ISO: Looking for a first horse /packer type for a child. Advanced beginner rider doing wtc and jumping 18". Needs a horse with a great canter who can take a joke and continue to do his job despite a less than perfect (well, far from perfect) seat. Honest to and away from fences. Not picky about breed, color, sex, would prefer in the 14.2-15.3h range. Can be ugly to look at but must like kids and have good ground manners. Small maintanence issues/shoes ok. Modest budget in low-mid 4 figures but a great home with deserving kid.
