Hi all, does anybody know where I can find hessian and lace fabric at a good price? Or of any fabric stores with reasonable prices. Already went to waste centre and looking to compare prices. Thanks in advance :)
Ronèlle W. replied:
Craft concepts had some of the best prices when I was looking. Give them a call on 0312074267 to check if they have and how much they charge then you can decide if it's worth a visit.

Jeanine M. replied:
It depends on what you want the Hessian for. I use it for crafting and the Hessian at craft concepts the weave is too big. I'm looking for Hessian with a small weave and I'm not paying R35 for an A4 size of Hessian, so yeah I'm also hoping to hear!!
Hi, where can I buy small balls to make a school project to make the solar system!
Joanne H. replied:
Craft concept buro crescent (opposite leisure lounge) 031 2074267 had the solar system set. Imagine that in umhlanga opposite gateway had the individual balls
I get very frustrated at Craft Concepts. To start, it's flipping hot in there. Secondly, their advertised "specials" come with unseen terms and conditions. If you want 0.5 m of fabric, you don't get the special price. You pay full price. So if it's was marked down from R39.99 to R29.99 and now advertised at 10% off - you still pay R39.99 for less than a meter. So fabric like quilting cotton etc you end up paying more than waste centre. It is also very jam packed and has only 2 people on the fabric section. I buy most of my fabric from Waste Centre, followed by Textrim. :)
Ada D. replied:
I'm also very disappointed with Craft Concept lately. Don't believe their prices are 'real', everytime they have a sale the staff spend hours and hours putting new (higher) price stickers on products. A few times I have had to ask for my discount, otherwise they just don't give it.
Amanda V. replied:
I went into Craft Concepts looking curtain tape and was sent from 1 depertment to the next and I decided that's it. not interested. I also found the shop to be too cramped. I prefer to go to Bassas or textrim.
Looking for 25 cheap affordable blankets for charity. Does anyone know of a good place to buy? Thanks :)
Cornelia V. replied:
what i can suggest is to buy the polifleece rolles at https://www.facebook.com/craftdurban for R15-20 /m and just cut to size. you dont need to even sew it . that will be the cheapest
Hi guys. Need some help please. I need to buy some velcro to atttach material to a couch. Where can I get this at a good price? Thank you
Pat L. replied:
There is a shop in Brickfield called Buttons and Bows. If you look in phone book you should get it. Don't know the price but very intresting shop and then also Craft concept 0312074267 if you can't find it there you will not find anywhere. I would not use the iron on better to sew it on once than pay extra and still have to sew it on. Good luck.

I need advice abt 2 items: (1) where can I get white fabric paint from? & (2) ...saw a vendour on the beach once, selling these nifty hand held embroidery needles & ring set goodies, that as you thread yr needle underneath the material & bring it up again, it catches the previous stitch and creates this magical embroidery stitch on top. Eish...sorry for this weird description.
