Hi, my name is Karen Mullens. I am a 21 year old Junior at Georgia College, where I am the student photographer for University Housing. I have always loved photography and in 2012 I decided to make a business out of my passion. But I knew I wanted to make photos affordable, because every family deserves their moments captured. Photography is more than a business to me. Even though I am only 21 and that seems young but maybe that is just what photography needs, someone who is younger and has a different perspective. Every day more and more people start “photography businesses”, just because they bought a fancy camera. But I want to push the normal idea photography, posing is great up to a point but I am a lover of candid photos. As a child I hated getting my photos taken, the photographer trying to get me and my siblings to all hold still and look at the camera. However, I loved taking the photos, when I was 9 years old I got my first camera. It was barely 2.3 mega pixels but it was a start. From there I started taking and editing photos. I love editing photos almost as much as I love taking them. I take photos of everything, which is what I think makes me a better photographer, because as everyone knows, practice makes perfect. I love trying new shots, I love trying new edits, and I love just turning what is normally a boring thing parents make their children do every once in a while into something fun. I look forward to taking photos and changing the way people think about photography.
ISO: A photographer to take graduation pictures sometime this week after Tuesday! Will pay for your time if the pics are good! Please message me if you know of anyone.
