  Looking for a great vet in walking distance to Liberty Village. I moved in the area a couple of months ago and am looking to transfer my two small pups to a vet closer to here since I don't have a car and don't want to make the trip all the way uptown on transit. I am kind of between the Liberty Village Animal Hospital and Queen West Animal Hospital but I also know there is one at king and Shaw (or somewhere around there)? Just looking for some opinions/recommendations :)

  We've been to several of the area vets, and have had mediocre to terrible experiences with all of them except Queen West. They've been excellent - not cheap, but found that they also don't charge for tests you don't need, give you options etc. They were exceptionally sweet when our big guy passed away last year.

  I also like Queen West, and when they are booked, am just as happy to head up to Dundas West Animal Hospital. Both are practical and have great follow up.

  I also go to Queen West, and think that they are wonderful. I had a very difficult experience with the vets at King and Shaw - didn't like their approach at all. Felt I was constantly being upsold.

  Likewise - dont trust the vet at King and Shaw. Use Queen West but steer clear of Dr. Scott Matheson very unpleasant character

  I haven't been to Queen West, but in comparison to other vets I've been to (ie: King West and High Park) they are the same, and often less. I also found they didn't lay on the pressure. For example, the High Park vet gave me a $1500 estimate when what was necessary was just $400, but the Front Street clinic didn't charge for follow up visits for my last dog who was very old and required a few visits for a particular issue.

  I go to a vet on dundas close to bell woods park. I also use a vet that dose house calls for my cats. He is great... message me and I will send u there numbers. I had a bad experience at queen west.
