About us
Brevard Mountain Bike Association (BMBA) is a 501c3 nonprofit grassroots organization originally founded with the purpose of saving the Grapefruit Trail (GFT), a challenging single track trail with various elevation changes running through wild citrus groves along the Tillman Canal in Palm Bay, FL. The trail means a great deal to BMBA members as well as other bikers and outdoor enthusiasts in the community. Founding BMBA President Glenn Hawks is leading the group of riders, trailbuilders and volunteers in effort to improve the GFT and the surrounding area and to ensure continued trail access and trail maintenance for years to come.
We at BMBA share a passion for bikes and the outdoors, although we know that it sometimes takes real effort to get outside when days become busy or hectic. In the spirit of taking time to smell the orange blossoms, we encourage everyone to head to the trail and help us in our mission to make the GFT a destination of choice for off-road riders everywhere.
