  I am in need of a good plumber. I have a considerable amount of plumbing work that needs to be done. Including but not limited to redoing an existing bathroom, adding an additional bathroom in my basement, cast iron piping being replaced in the basement. Leaking in basement wall as well from main water shut off. Need a licensed plumber. I have one in mind but would like a couple of quotes. Recommendations?

  Lora, my husband is/was a plumber until a catastrophic work injury sidelined him. He was in business for over 20 yrs. I read your post to him. He suggested that if Tim Miller 's neighbor is unavailable, you might try calling Apex Plumbing Co.@935-7357. The owner/ operator's name is John Owen's. We have known John for over 27 years. John is honest, reliable and afford-ably priced. The scenario that you are describing according to my husband Wayne, the pipe that is leaking is galvanized steel. It goes in the wall, makes a 90 degree turn. Goes over to a "T", and the vent goes up, and the drain goes down to the basement. The galvanized pipe, needs to be replaced all the way back to the "T".
