I am aware of S & K Disposal and Clean Earth Sanitation that do trash pick-up in Oakwood. What are other companies that serve our neighborhood? Thanks!
Mark Y. replied:
The company we've been using for 10 years used to be called "Clean Earth" but they changed their name a few years ago to "Waste Industries" (615-350-5901). They also come to the back of our driveway to pick up twice a week, but we're paying $36 a month, which now I think is rather high. Still, we've been happy with them (or at least I was until I read Carol's post above.)
Chris A. replied:
Elite - recycle pickup on Wed (except glass), trash pickup Thurs. $24 per month. They will pickup at garage door as well. I do not need twice a week pick up so this has become a good option for us. Nothing wrong with Waste Industries though. Just looking for a cost savings is why we switched.
George C. replied:
Waste Industries....formerly Clean Earth....have used them 35 yrs..willing to pay a little more for good service and professional trucks and personel....pick up at back of house.
Devon S. replied:
Elite sounds like a good deal if they do recycling! We also use waste industries.
Mark Y. replied:
I know this wasn't my post, but thank you everyone for your replies. I'm seriously considering switching from Waste Industries to Elite. We have to haul our recycling to the Kroger once a month. That and the lower price ($24 vs $36) makes them a winner.
Does anyone know of a local trash pick up service. I had one they aren't running anymore I guess. They didn't even get their last payment. I have a trash can I can use.
Dee P. replied:
We are very satisfied with Waste Industries. They pick up weekly. You can pay monthly; we pay $57 quarterly. Their phone # is (615)350-5901.
Krysti S. replied:
Dee Parker, I didn't know waste industries was down here. I have used them for 5 years now in Clarksville, but we moved to Hickman and need trash pickup there. I'm gonna have to call them and see If they come out there too! Thanks for the info. I also paid $56 every 3 months. Love waste industries!
Lisa C. replied:
Waste Industries - I've used them for years and have never had any issues.
Brittany U. replied:
I had clean earth and paid $81 quarterly, when waste industries bought them they continued to charge the $81. I called and they lowered mine to $57.
We are outside of the city limits for trash pick up, does anyone have any recommendations for a RELIABLE company that will pick up near Dutchman Road off of North McDonough?
Christy B. replied:
You can go to wasteindustries.com or call 770-474-9273
Cindy H. replied:
Mother-in-law just gave me some information. It's. 009 Waste Industries. They are out of Stockbridge. She was no phone number.
Christy B. replied:
Hannah we use waste industries and it's about 50 bucks every three months they are very reliable we've had them since we moved here.
Any suggestions on a weekly trash pick-up service? and cost? thanks!
Jim K. replied:
I pay $41.50 a quarter to Waste Industries/615-350-5901 & they pick every extra thing I leave out & are always respectful & cheerful when I'm outside when they come.
Toni R. replied:
PDQ is now Waste Industries, we have been using them for years. Not long ago, from the window, I watched the gentlemen pick up our can and a small piece (smaller than a sheet of paper) got away from them. The gentleman chased it down about 3 houses down - I was very impressed.
Angela L. replied:
Waste Industries $51/qrt They were previously PDQ, we've been with them since 2001 no problems.
