I requested this company to come around in Pearson Rd to give me a quote and do some electrical work on various things. They arrived and we looked at the job that needed to be done. I was given an amount after the work was done which I paid in cash. The invoice stated it was including materials which as charged extra for. I paid them in cash to help them. After an hour he came back with the msg that his father had quoted too little and he needed an extra R1000.. I felt intimidated and paid but after I received the invoice I discovered that they had charged labour at R590 p,h.which is excessive as the going rate is R350 p.h. I verified this with 2 other electricians. The clock started ticking as soon as they arrived discussing all the work that had to be done before any labour charges should have been counted. They don't quote before and I feel I have been overcharged and when I showed the invoice to the other electricians they were also highly embarrassed for the industry. We are pensioners and feel abused and intimidated by this happening. I would like to warn other potential customers to be aware of this before giving them further business. A written quote of any kind needs to be adhered to and not changed after the work has been done. I will never use them again and will make sure other people are warned against this unprofessional attitude.
