Retirements and where to find them Where do I need to go looking for retirement accounts? I have an account at a local Federal credit Union and will possibly be opening an account at a different fcu that offers slightly higher APR rates. On both their websites, they have Certificates that only last for up to 36 months at a time, which doesn't seem like a standard saving account for retirement (unless I'm wrong, it's possible). Is this something I'll have to talk to them about before opening one, or are they available somewhere else? Ive seen some posts about 2% accounts through online banking but I'd prefer to stay local.
Is a retirement about something I'll need to do at an official bank instead? And is there any other advice for where to look and things to watch out for? Thanks!
