  Take a picture of the back of the washing machine, so you get the full make and model, and google your issue(s). It might be easier (or worse) than you think. Older machines can be easy to fix, or not worth the trouble. I've had decent luck ordering parts online, but locally https://www.mjhickey.com/ and https://www.amresupply.com/locations/london are both decent places to get parts. FWIW, Amre also carries furnace parts, and if they don't stock the part here, can bring it in from one of their other locations.
