We need your help! During our Rain Barrel Workshop this weekend someone came up to me afterwards and asked me if I knew of a company in the Norman/OKC area that could install a greywater system in his home. Does anyone know of a company or plumber that has expierence with grey water systems?

This site looks like it has a lot of good information. I will order the book for the library.http://oasisdesign.net/greywater/misinfo/index.htm Common Greywater Mistakes and Preferred Practices oasisdesign.net An effort to counter the tidal wave of grey water misinformation on the web. Pop...ular greywater system designs that don't yield good results are described. Gray water reuse, treatment, filtration, and irrigation practices which really work are recommended.See More
Morning, anyone have ideas of good, low cost, low environmental impact drainage systems?
I'm wanting to manage grey water from only a kitchen sink, but in cold northern Europe climate.
Thanks!

Then Oasis Design www.oasisdesign.net is the best resource I know of for DIY options

Look up Art Ludwig of Oasis Design. He has small books with DIY graywater systems.
Hello there - can anybody recommend good books/sources of information for alternative/off grid wastewater/sewage systems? Or, even better, someone with expertise in this area working in Greece? :)

I would first distinguish between black water (everything from the toilet) and graywater (everything else). Separating the two allows you to create much simpler treatment for each. For the blackwater, I recommend a composting system...you can either purchase one or I recommend the book Humanure by Joe Jenkins, which describes a super simple but highly effective DIY composting system. For info on graywater, I would get any book by Art Ludwig and check his website oasisdesign.net (It's not a sexy website but there is tons of great information there)
