Hi my name is Marilyn Velez I am a self taught makeup artist and hair stylist. I believe that make up is almost essential to most modern women today. It really is quite stunning and shocking how a face can be transformed with just a little cosmetic shading and contouring. I see it as an enhancer not a mask. It's not like we're hiding ourselves behind the make up, we are just boosting or intensifying our beautiful and unique features that we already have. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the big smile on their face after seeing the look put together. It just lets me know that they believe in my vision, my work, talent, and me.
For a woman there is noting more empowering and confidence boosting than having big hair, fresh makeup, a sexy smokey eye and the perfect outfit. I truly believe that beauty builds confidence and confidence amplifies beauty. In the words of Mr. Christian Dior “I dream of making women not only more beautiful but also happier"

Hola mi nombre es Marilyn Vélez soy artista de maquillaje y estilista . Creo que el maquillaje es algo esencial para la mayoría de las mujeres modernas de hoy . Realmente es bastante impresionante y sorprendente cómo una cara se puede transformar con un poco de sombra cosmética y contorneado . Yo lo veo como un promotor no como una máscara . No es que estamos escondernos detrás del maquillaje , sólo estamos potenciando o intensificando nuestros rasgos hermosos y únicos que ya tenemos . No hay nada más valioso que ver la gran sonrisa en su cara después de ver el look completo. Simplemente me deja saber que ellas creen en mi visión , mi trabajo , en mi talento , y en mi.
