I had my wisdom teeth and implants done at Pittsburgh Oral Surgery... would recommend an oral surgeon over a dentist as long as there aren't insurance issues... https://www.pittsburghoralsurgery.com/
Looking for a recommendation for a good oral surgeon near campus. My daughter's wisdom teeth are bothering her and we might not be able to wait for winter break.

Pittsburgh oral surgery, they have five surgeons in the practice. Near whole foods on Centre Avenue in Shadyside. 412-661-7690
I need all 4 wisdom teeth pulled, any recommendations for a dentist? I must let it be known that I am a chicken.
Lynn P. replied:
Take it from a former dental hygienist....this group is awesome....especially Dr. Sarah Davies and Dr. Martin Eichner. http://www.pittsburghoralsurgery.com/
Lindsay G. replied:
I just had mine taken out on Friday...pittsburgh oral surgery. Dr Eichner removed mine. I'm a chicken too and he removed mine in 20 minutes with just novocain.
Good Oral Surgeon? A friend just moved to Pittsburgh and needs his wisdom teeth out. Does anyone have any recommendations, places to avoid, and/or general tips?
ETA: I've looked at previous threads, but he would a) specially prefer an oral surgeon and b) appreciate any new recommendations.

I was very pleased with Martin Eichner. I was there for both an extraction and subsequent implant, and both were very smooth. http://www.pittsburghoralsurgery.com/

My normal dentist is Pinelli/Bella in Monroeville behind the Miracle Mile but I just had to get an impacted molar removed and they couldn't do it so I went to the Pittsburgh Oral Surgery at 5820 Centre Ave. I recommend both places.

I just got back from Pittsburgh Oral Surgery and the entire experience was terrible.
The staff at the front desk was rude and unhelpful. They asked why my dentist never emailed xrays to them. I called my dentist which was able to tell them the exact email it was sent to and the date it was sent. They sent it again to the same place and it worked. They were simply careless with my files.
I highly discourage anyone from going to Pittsburgh Oral Surgery or Dr. Trop. I am the person the recommendation was for. I found Dr. Trop to be cold and rude. He refused to offer opinions on best courses of action and explained things extremely vaguely. When I asked what specific things meant he acted offended and said "I'm getting to it."
