Anyone work at a mazda dealership? I lost a key to one of our cars. Had it duplicated blah blah, the copy doesn't work bc it doesn't have the transponder. Got a key with transponder and was told we could only have it programed by mazda... now dealership is saying that we need to pay 1600, when just a few days ago they said they could do it for 1 something. I need someone who knows how to program a duplicate transponder key.ASAP normal locksmiths don't work. I was told that some body shops do it but haven't found any. If u have any ideas or referrals pls let me know.

So after two hours dealing with a dead car, and having it towed to Firestone the guys there think it might be that our electronic key stopped working. The dealership requires blood from your first born, and part of your immortal soul to get another one. Does anyone know a locksmith that can make an electronic key for a 2008 Jeep Commander for less that $2frickin hundred dollars?!

If you can wait a few days you can try getting one from ikeyless.com then a hardware store can cut it. They will include direction on how to program it but you might have to have the dealer program it if the other one is totally dead. Or sometimes a locksmith can do it.
