  I second Kanata Optometry. We have all four of our kids there and our youngest (just over 4) had absolutely no problems. We also have one who is very timid and nervous and he breezed through it. We have a male doctor, Dr. Morey but he is incredibly gentle! They set up a little movie for them to watch and have pictures for them to identify and it doesn't take very long at all.
