About us
Barker Brook Kennels is owned & operated by Justine Carver. Justine purchased the grooming business in 2011 after having been an employee for 3 years. She and her husband moved the business to their home where they could expand to offer dog boarding.
Barker Brook Kennels offers grooming for dogs and cats of all ages and size.
We groom Tuesday - Saturday by appointment.
We have drop off & pick up hours for boarding Tuesday - Saturday 8-10 AM and 4-6PM
Sunday & Monday hours 9-10 AM and 4-6 PM
Occasionally other arrangements can be made, for a fee.
Here at Barker Brook we offer a big secure play pen for dogs of all ages & sizes to play and romp. Play sessions are supervised to ensure safety. We also have a large indoor space for play on rainy or cold days.
Our indoor floors are lined with recycled rubber flooring which provides cushioning and traction for dogs and is easy to keep sanitized. At night dogs get their own private run which offers a minimum of 56 sq. ft. with a personal doggy door to an outside sheltered area. Dog doors are closed at bedtime.
While most dogs prefer to play outside with each other during the day they do have the option of being by themselves, maybe take a nap on their dog bed or chew a bone in private, in their run or in our inside play room.
We have lots of toys, balls, and bones for playing, all you need to bring is your dog and their food!

Grooming prices vary by size and breed, please call for a quote.
Boarding is $20/night.
Check out is in the morning, dogs that remain until evening check out on their last day do pay for that day (like a hotel).
There is a food fee for dogs that wish to eat our dog food and leave theirs at home.
For drop off & pick ups outside of posted business hours there is a $10 fee per occurrence.
