  Hi there CMs, my family and I are looking to buy a house (currently renting), and I'm seeking advice. We are hoping to find something suitable in the inner/Eastern North area (Hackett, O'Conner, anywhere around there), but we are open to finding a place just about anywhere (except Tuggers or Gungahlin - too far) since we DO want a big house and decent sized property (family of 5, have chooks). I love the school my 6 year old is at now (Duffy) but we will likely transfer him if we move out of Weston Creek, mostly to save on the driving for all kids. My main question is a real rookie one: What bank/broker do you recommend to get started with when buying a home? We have enough saved that we may not have to take out much of a loan, but we need to get talking with the banks/broker in case we need to borrow a decent chunk

  Hello, we are a married couple in our late 20's with a 7 month old and we are after recommendations on how to go about buying our first house in Canberra. Do you recommend seeing a financial planner first, or go through a mortgage broker, or straight to a bank? We are thinking a mortgage broker is a good idea, any recommendations on good mortgage brokers in Canberra? Any tips on what we should do to prepare for applying/having a loan? We are looking at getting pre approval towards the end of the year, as I'm still currently on unpaid maternity leave. TIA Canberra Mums

  Hello everyone My partner and I are looking for a mortgage broker. We are on one income with two gorgeous boys. It has always been my dream to own my own home. We are currently in a rental and every rental we live in owners have to sell due to lose of jobs lose of family members I.e partners or having a baby and circumstances changing. We are currently paying $450 per week for a small 3 bedroom house. I don't want to keep moving with the kids.
