About us
Smyrna has been home to Cumberland Community Church for 14 years. During this time, the economic and social landscape of Smyrna has been continually changing and growing, necessitating a changing approach by caring organizations, agencies, and churches who help meet the needs of the community. As we at CCC realized that one organization or many independent organizations could not meet all the needs of a growing and diverse community, we recognized that our vision for the property at 3110 Sports Avenue had to change. After much thought and prayer, we concluded that the building’s primary use should be that of a community center for the common good, and so The Collective at Cumberland, “A Partnership for Change,” was born.
Services Offered:
Career Restoration
Career Restoration assists people with the skills and opportunities needed to be successful in work and life. This will be accomplished in three ways. Career counseling helps identify career goals and build steps to accomplish those goals; skills training identifies and addresses gaps in skills needed for employment; networking connects job-seekers with individuals and organizations to generate job opportunities.
Computer Lab
The computer lab is available during business hours for clients who need internet access to apply for jobs, create resumes or sign up for community programs.
Kamileon’s Kloset
Kamileon’s Kloset is a private, non-profit 501(c)3. We transform lives by helping each client transition into the workforce with professional attire, full-service image makeovers, and life coaching. As presentation experts and educators, we partner in our clients’ success — guiding them to present a uniquely personal and professional appearance. The Little School
The purpose of The YMCA’s Little School is to prepare 3 and 4 year old children to enter Kindergarten with skills and experiences that will allow them the greatest... show more opportunity to be successful in an education setting. It is also designed to foster the parent- teacher relationship so that parents are confident and knowledgeable about how to best support young learners.
Counseling
Pastoral counseling provides spiritual direction, encouragement, prayer and, through Biblical principles, hope to the hurting with Christ’s love.
Food Ministries
The Collective’s Food Ministry mission is to nourish bodies with affordable food, minds with healthful information, and souls with genuine relationships.
Art Serve International
Art Serve International (ASI) is comprised of multiple initiatives and workshops that aim to empower lives and enrich communities through the Arts by exploring the creative process in developing the whole person — mind, body and soul.
