A 'good' dentist is one who starts from the premise that my mouth is not a gold mine, but a place to do as little work as required to let me keep my teeth and have a healthy mouth. I had one for the last 6 years, but he sadly got in a new office manager/marketing specialist/something who has changed everything about his practice. I'm sure he is much more profitable, but he couldn't even look me in the eye when he told me I needed the special offer of deep gum cleaning for only $900 (before insurance).
