  Can anyone recommend a mechanic? It's that time of year where the car needs an MOT and I know its going to cost a fortune. I've had a bunch of bad experiences with mechanics in the past overcharging or finding extra work that 'definitely needs to be done'. Any recommendations for a place, or person, that will fix the bits to see it through the MOT and not charge a fortune will be appreciated. Bonus points if they're West of the city.   I use a bloke called Alan. His site is www.norwichcarclinic.co.uk and his rates are very reasonable. He is a mobile mechanic so can come to you. He has changed 2 engines for me on my drive so is very capable too.
