  does anyone have a picture of a school named Helen Hill- i think it was on Davis Island. I went to first grade there.

  Helen Hill School was located on Dekle Ave., just west of the intersection of Rome and Watrous. I believe the building that housed the school was torn down around 1964 and a small condo building now occupies the site. Check out the FB sites of Tampa Natives and Tampapix.com for some additional information and pictures. What year were you in first grade there? Did you go to other elementary schools in Tampa?
