Any advice for us:
The bottom level of our house sustained water damage over 48 hours ago (3 bedrooms 1 living room) and so far only the overseer of the house has come in and tried to dry it with a vacuum and a de humidifier and it is still wet and starting to stink, the insurance company came in to assess the damage and have rejected the claim and now our actual landlord has told us that it is not his fault and that he cannot provide any alternate accommodation. We have been super patient the last couple of days, having 5 people sleeping upstairs on the floor, but now the whole house is beginning to speak and our landlord told us we should seek legal advice on what he should be doing…… shouldn't he be providing legal advice or an actually qualified assessor to check if the house is safe to live in? Anybody know anywhere in the village we can call about this ASAP?
