  Friends -- I'm hoping one of you has experience with this, either professionally or personally. I'm trying to understand whether a patient (loved one) can move from one long-term acute care facility to another under Medicare coverage. One place says yes, another says no (and ironically, it's the one we'd move TO that says we can't, so this isn't a case of wanting to keep a customer). Has anyone moved a patient from one LTAC to another under Medicare? Is anyone an attorney or social worker in this field, who can direct me to the answers? Thanks for any and all ideas.
