I might switch car insurance because my premium is really high. Does it cost a lot of money to go through a insurance agent / does anyone have any recommendations for a good car insurance agent? I remember hearing somewhere that the best way to do this is to use an insurance agent, however, I am unclear on two things:
+ How does the insurance agent get paid, and will this cost me a lot of money (or does the insurance provider pay the agent)?
+ Does anyone have any recommendations for good agents?

I work for Eastern Insurance. We work with many carriers. Give us a call and we can quote you. 1-800-333-7234 Biggest question is why is your premium high? Accidents? Tickets? Age? Garaging Location? There are many factors that go into your rates. I suggest get a copy of your Coverage Selections/Declarations page and review what coverages you have, and then you can see where you could save $$$. Biggest place to save $$$ is on part 7 collision. Depending on the age and value of your car, that may not be necessary.
Need a new insurance agent (car and homeowners). Recommendations, please!
