If you have replaced you HVAC unit in your house in the last 3 years what brand did you buy and what company did you use to install? Looking for recommendations. Thanks

The brand isn't as important as who installs and services it. http://www.stansac.com/
Looking for a reasonable and honest AC guy/gal that won't try to sell me an entire new home AC unit when what I need is my current unit to simply be charged with some more AC refrigerant. Recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Stans heating and AC has done well for us. www.stansac.com
Anyone got an A/C company they would recommend? We usually use Casa Mechanical, but they can't get out here for a week, and we need one now.

I like Stans Heating and Air who used to be Strand Brothers and for many of our homes were the contractor installing the services. Their Web site is www.stansac.com Good luck.
Austin folks: A/C busted and it's supposed to hit 104 today. Suggestions for reputable emergency repair services?
Sally H. replied:
Stan's AC (owned by Chris Strand & family, no longer associated with Strand Bros). 512-929-9393. They also have a special deal on right now if you end up having to replace your system.
AC/HVAC Recommendation? I've got a small place (~600sq ft) with a 25+ year old central HVAC system. I'd like to replace it before this summer comes. Anyone recommend an honest A/C person or shop? Ideally, I'd like someone who's also familiar with energy star/efficiency, and any rebates the city may offer.

Stan's heating and air. They've been in business in Austin since the 1950 s. They have a very good reputation. http://www.stansac.com/
