Does anyone here in south Florida have Sprint as their cell provider? Would you recommend them? I'm looking at my options and on paper, they have a pretty good deal. Any help is appreciated:)

Tony, I had Verizon and about 6 years ago switched to Sprint. Better deal as I had up to 6 business lines at one time. Now only 2 lines. I have a great technical person in a Sprint store on Oakland Park Blvd near Sawgrass. He can fix anything and great customet service. I have been with him since the switch. Good advice when upgrading. Brian Mayer 954-748-9585. He is worth the call...please mention my name

I've been with Sprint for many years. I have a plan with 4 phones, unlimited data, and 1500 anytime minutes which we never even come close to using up because all mobile to mobile minutes are free. I have had no issues with service. I'm quite happy with Sprint.
Tom T. replied:
Stay away from Sprint! Far away! I hated them when I had them. Their coverage was the worst. It sucked here in Florida. It sucked in North Carolina, it sucked in NY. The company I work for uses them and hates the service (or lack thereof.) half of our projects in south Florida can't get data coverage. I have AT&T. I have excellent coverage everywhere except in NY. When I worked for Apple as a tech, every tech hated when a customer had Sprint. The complaints about dropped calls, weak signals, slow data or no data at all were non stop. God forbid you had to swap out a device. It was an inch short of a nightmare. The only thing good about Sprint is the price. But then again, you get what you pay for.
Tom T. replied:
BTW, AT&T has excellent coverage all over south FL as well as Verizon. AT&T has better coverage along the I-95 corridor through NJ or through to Charlotte. However, AT&T is horrible in NY. Another thing is that GSM networks (AT&T, T-Mobile) allow you to make phone calls while using Data ops on 2G, 3G, 4G, and LTE. CDMA networks (Verizon and Sprint) will only do that in limited LTE areas. VERY limited areas. That is changing though, albeit not at any great rate of speed. If VOLTE ever gets up and running, Verizon's service will probably be the best if you are using Apple's new iPhone.

With Sprint... I had service in New Jersey, in Tennessee, in the Carolinas, and most recently, while in Wyoming and Colorado, all the people I was with kept asking to use my phone because they were with AT&T and Bellsouth and had no signal. The only exception was the guy with Verizon, that company seems to have the widest range. Tony, it really depends on what you're looking for in mobile service. For my family of four on one plan with data, nobody can beat the deal we have with Sprint.
Jan K. replied:
Tony, Chuck and I have Sprint and have for 20 years. No problem.
Michael K. replied:
Verizon is great, I'm with T-Mobile now and they're good too, reception isn't as good as verizon, but I never have a problem, and no contract. Definitely NO to Sprint, they're horrible.
Bill J. replied:
I think it has to do with your location. I've had Sprint for 20 years and never had a problem....
Daniel M. replied:
Sprint is the worst!
Agim A. replied:
I had it for about 8+yrs, i've concluded sprint can afford to give unlimited at that cost because you can't do any damage with the speeds and coverage they offer. people seem to be having better luck with Tmobile as in bang for the buck. at large concerts/crowds, don't expect you phone to work either on sprint. I'm on Verizon now, I pay more, for less data, but very happy with the service.
Judy B. replied:
Wow, it must be florida. I have had sprint for 9 years and absolutely love it, but I'm in Michigan. I've never had a problem when I'm down there.
David L. replied:
Sprint did not work well in the keys, and they will lie like dogs to keep you going as a customer. I am having the same problem with AT&T. When their service is messing up the do everything to blame problem on you. The first thing they say is no one else in the area is having a problem even when your sitting next to other friends that have called in. They suck
Carol H. replied:
Everyone I work with that has Sprint has no reception in the school.
