  Monroe vision clinic for sure. I have a reoccurring eye injury and when I have a sudden re-occurrence they always manage to squeeze me in so that I don't have to spend days in agony.

(I don't want to go to Freddy's either, or the Wally world that'll be here in a month - Need em now, and need em to be right - too many bad experiences with retail stores - no offense meant to those who swear by those guys, just not my cuppa tea). I would like an actual Optometrist. Please and Thank you. To recap: *local eye doc *need to take insurance (not state) *would be willing to offer an option of eye exam without purchasing glasses (not a deal-breaker if none can do that here) *needs to be friendly and willing to listen *needs to be pretty fast (a week or less) Thank you, my fellow Monroevians!! *PS - I'm okay if with negatives of a place, but PM me, don't post publicly, Thanks!

  I've liked Dr Sessions at Monroe Vision Clinic. And the cheapest glasses are from Costco. I pay in full, send my instance receipt and am reimbursed. Cheapest glasses ever and I've always found some I like there.

  Either Sears Optical by Albertsons or Monroe Vision Clinic by the hospital are great. Both have great doctors and great eye glass selection and quick turnaround.
