Thank you for the referrals. Please call Sam Houston 530-333-0333. His shop is in Greenwood next to Divide Supply. He is a licensed granite contractor and has been in the Divide for 15 years and you will not be disappointed.

I would like to ease any concerns regarding granite vs. silestone. When you use a reputable granite contractor, the countertops are sealed and require little or no maintenance. Good reputable contractors, such as Sam Houston, use a sealer that lasts fo r years. Sam has never had to re-seal a counter top. When you use granite, you can cut directly on the granite and place hot items on it. Granite is a rock; it does not scratch or burn and if it is sealed properly it can be one of the easiest counter tops to clean and maintain. I hope I was helpful in dispelling any myths. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call Sam. 530-333-0333.

Sam Houston is awesome! Bret Mason I've had granite slabs in my kitchen (Ubba Tubba) for almost 20 years and it looks brand new. Never heard of steam cleaning it. The sealer put on the granite when installed is the key. And Sam Houston replaced our 8' granite slab hearth when we replaced our wood stove 2 years ago. It still looks brand new as well.
Any recommendations for local granite countertop installers?
