Psychiatrist recommendations? Finally hit the point of acknowledging that I need professional help, but UM told me there's a 3-4 month wait for new patients at the Depression Center. They wouldn't give me a recommendation anywhere else, either. Neither my primary care doc or OBGYN are comfortable recommending behavioral meds and instead referred me back to UM. Needless to say, I've been running in circles for the past few weeks. So, I'm now seeking personal recommendations for any counseling/psych offices in town, ideally with doctors on staff for pharmacological management. Double ideal would be an emphasis in women's care (i.e. PMDD and mood disorders) and accepting UM insurance, but at this point I'll pay out of pocket to just get established somewhere.

I've heard AMAZING things about [Integrative Empowerment Group](http://www.integrativeempowerment.com). I don't think they have a psychiatrist on staff but I'm assuming they would just refer you out. I also don't know the details about insurance, but I know they can do a sliding scale.
Can anyone recommend a therapist at the University of Michigan? I've been looking at getting therapy for a while now and in some of my research I've found that U of M has transgender services. Does anyone have advice before calling to set up an appointment? Does anyone know any therapists around Michigan?

I see a U of M endocrinologist, but I don't go through their gender services program, which I've heard mixed things about. If you're looking for an Ann Arbor therapist, I'd highly recommend [Dr. Joy Mutinda](http://www.integrativeempowerment.com/).
