  Judy S. wrote: Kristin Miller diagnosed my severe degenerative disc disease as mild arthritis after looking at my X-rays. This clinic was the discount clinic for the poorest of the poor before Obamacare opened Medicaid up to low income people. I saw several doctors during my time with this clinic & cannot recommend any of them.

  Barbara Franklin at Siskiyou. Community Health Center. 541-471-3455. She is my nurse practitioner and is wonderful. They take most insurances. I would call as I am not sure if there is a waiting list or not.

  So, we recently relocated to Grants Pass from Montana. I am trying to find a good primary care physician for both of us. Just called Grants Pass Clinic and were told they are not accepting new patients who are on Medicare (even with a Medicare supplemental plan). Anyone have a doc whom they love who accepts Medicare patients? What are us "seniors" supposed to do? Feels age discriminatory to me.

  Firstoff.. Welcome to Grants Pass Kathleen!! I also recommend Siskiyou Community Health Center. I see Barbara Franklin there, and she is a NP and she is great. I would give them a call - 541-471-3455. They are accepting new patients, not sure if Barbara is, but there are other ones there, including Bruce Towers, who is awesome also. They would be able to tell you if Medicare requires you to have an MD as your PCP.
