  I have a foster dog, cocker spaniel, that will need TECA surgery. Rescue group that is sponsoring him will try to fundraise to cover cost. I have looked into it myself but it is quite expensive, around $4,000.00 with discount for rescue. Does anyone have experience with this surgery on their dog? Which local vet was used? Were you happy with results? This poor dog's ears were neglected by his former owner so long that not only are they infected, but have cauliflowered due to scar tissue. Thanks in advance for any help.

  Try calling Long Island Animal Surgery in Patchogue. Their phone number is 631-627-6900 and ask for Sue. They are very affordable and focus solely on surgeries. I bet they quote you half of the $4,000. I have used them and recommend them highly. Good luck.

They let you hold them hence why I say semi-feral....I believe they were dumped nearby... Where can I get mom fixed cheap? (L/m for Rita this morning) Who can help with adopting the babies?   For my animal loving folks: advice needed. A close friends dog, named Abbey, a dachshund, has fallen and is partially paralyzed (3 herniated discs). Cannot walk. Family is heartbroken. A basic veterinarian told them if surgery not done by today for $5,000.00 , there could be no hope due to swelling issues. Family didn't have the full amount for surgery. Specialist (and prayers) now needed. Any suggestions? Surgical specialists who are worth consulting with? Anyone else with paralysis experience ?
