My name is Rayner Wilding and I am a fully qualified and GOsC registered osteopath and sports masseur who works from my home practice in Southend Road, Stanford-le-Hope, as well as Birkbeck Natural Health Centre, Sidcup and Shenfield Osteopathic practice. When I was 11, my teacher showed us a diagram of the human skeleton at school and I was immediately fascinated. The combination of my dad's achey neck that I was always massaging as a child, my own experience of sporting injuries & their treatment and my passion for making others feel better lead me to want to learn more about the body, including it's mechanics, ways it can go wrong and how I as a therapist can fix it. This lead me to train at the European School of Osteopathy, where I earned my D.O (M.Ost) degree in Osteopathy and came away with a vast toolbox of techniques, which I draw upon to diagnose & treat people of all shapes, sizes, ages & conditions. I am also a qualified sports and holistic masseur, having studied these previously. As a system primary health care, you do not need a referral to visit an osteopath. We are trained to look out for anything untoward and will refer you to your GP if we spot anything or deem you unsafe to receive our treatment. You are in safe & capable hands :-)
