HORRIBLE! She agreed to remove popcorn from ceilings, patch/sand/paint ceilings, paint trim and doors, and paint walls in upstairs and main floor of our home. She started two days later than she agreed. Four days before she was scheduled to be finished with the whole project, she gave excuse after excuse (sub-lessor issues, health problems, threats from sub-lessor's wife) of why she wouldn't finish within her own timeframe and how it would be at least another week to finish the ceilings, if she even could at all, to get them to look acceptable after taking off the popcorn. At that point she had only finished painting the trim and doors which have drip marks/sagging, removing the popcorn from the ceilings which some of the popcorn was stuck and dried to the walls, and patched/sanded/painted two bedroom ceilings which is maybe 25% of the work. She said she would work through the night to try to catch up, but when my husband went at 8:15 pm to talk to her, she wasn't there and then by text she told me she worked until 9:00 pm which was a lie. She didn't cover the two month old carpet when she was sanding or painting so there was dust/debris/stains/paint on the carpet and I found paint shoe prints on the wood floor. We will have to get the carpets professionally cleaned because of the mess she left. We decided to cut our losses and end the contract with her even though we paid her 50%, but she only finished about 25% of the work. We have asked for part of the money back, but have not gotten any response from her. We have hired new painters and they have redo all the work she did such a poor job.
Just wanted to share a pretty dramatic transformation...what a difference a little paint can make! Let me know if you are looking for a painter - happy to share her information.
