Does anyone know a good chiropractor/massage therapist/personal trainer/ in the area that they would highly recommend? Would like to meet with a back/spine specialist to talk about a new routine in dealing with back pain. But I've heard some really bad experiences from my friends when it comes to chiropractors. Perhaps someone here knows a really good one. Thanks!

I had some spinal alignment issues a few years ago that caused debilitating stabbing pains behind one of my shoulder blades. I tried a chiropractor a few modern dancers I know had used, [Leslie Windman](http://www.drwindman.com/); she got me feeling well within a few sessions. She practices a form of chiropractic medicine called [atlas orthogonal](http://www.drwindman.com/#!atlas-orthogonal/c1 wp7); one way that protocol is different is that it starts with x-rays to confirm actual misalignment rather than just blind spinal manipulation like some other chiropractors do. She's out in Greenbelt.
Looking for recs for chiropractors (specifically who are in network for United Healthcare). We love Broadneck Family Chiropractic, but they are out-of-network, so it's just too expensive for us to go there, unfortunately.

I am, unfortunately, an expert (patient) in this area. Dr. Ricci on West Street (across from Goodwill) is awesome and takes United Healthcare. If you want something unique (was the answer for me after literally 30 years of searching), try Dr. Windman in Greenbelt - procedure is called Atlas Orthogonal. Web site is www.drwindman.com. She does not take insurance but will give you paperwork for reimbursement; Dr. Ricci takes UnitedHealthcare.
