  SHOUT OUT: Anyone know an electrician who wont charge the earth to come out on a Sunday and have a look at some wiring to my Ideal Icos boiler, been doing some Googling and came across the below, my boiler is happy sat at "0" the mid position value in the airing cupboard is on H and all the lights are on it just doesn't seem to be receiving a signal to fire up! I have a little baby and we are sat here freezing! "The boiler should at least TRY to light,IF then there is a problem,for example,the gas supply is cut,or there is a sensor or internal fault within the boiler,THEN it will flash up a fault code,the fact that it isnt,suggests to me it is not recieving a signal to fire. If the boiler is just happily sitting there displaying a "0" means it isnt recieving a command to fire. Did you actually check the connectors? if all ok there it looks like a possible wiring fault elsewhere. Check all controls calling.
