Celiac-disease Friendly restaurant recommendations!! I have a friend coming to town at the end of the month with celiac disease. He’s very sensitive to gluten - so anyone know of somewhere we can go to that has been proven safe (& delicious!) for anyone in Portland with celiac disease.
Thanks!
EDIT: so many great recommendations! Thank you thank you!!

Hmm... I can't believe no one has mentioned http://www.newcascadiatraditional.com/ Definitely worth checking out as baked GF stuff (that is good) is hard to come by. Their vegan GF cupcake is pretty amazing even compared to *any* cupcake. They also have pizzas and other stuff.
Iso someplace that sells challah bread. I have checked panera, grand central baking company, and great harvest bread company with no luck :( any leads would be awesome! Tia!

New Cascadia Traditional Bakery at 1700 SE 6 th Av. 503-546-4901 they also have an excellent lunch menu as well as yummy and lovely Christmas goodies Two resturants to consider are Andinas (Peruvian) and Verdi Cocina (Mexican) plus they use fresh, local ingredients. Both are located on Glisan, west side of downtown. Enjoy your stay in Portland.
