  http://www.bvjhotel.com/ try this one. You guys can get a room for only two for 70€ a night. That's 140 each for 4 nights. When I was studying in Paris I had a friend visiting me, but I cannot seem to find her hostel... Sorry :S I will keep looking... Otherwise if you would like to eat cheap, and you are willingly to prepare your own food, then it is a good idea to go to the China Town and buy food in the supermarket. (just for comparison: when I was living in Paris, I paid 4 euros for a 20 cm diameter watermelon in the center, then I went to China town and bought a huge 35 cm diameter watermelon for 3.5€...)

  Normally I'd couchsurf, but if in need of a hostel i would use [Three Ducks](http://www.3 ducks.fr/) or [BVJ](http://bvjhotel.com/). BVJ lacks personality, but it's cheap and central.
