  Daycares in Ottawa My husband and I are moving to the Ottawa area in July and are trying to figure out our childcare plans. We have one child who will be 19 months when we move. The apartment we have rented is located in the West Centerville area (thanks Wikipedia!) and my husband will be working in the Westboro area. I will be looking for jobs closer to the downtown area. With all that in mind we are looking for a daycare preferably in that area, but also wouldn’t mind travelling if it meant a better childcare experience. Any suggestions or previous experiences would be greatly appreciated! Some of the locations we have googled so far are: Kids and Company (both in westboro and downtown which is convenient) Andrew Fleck Children’s Service (Also multiple locations I believe) Centertown Parents Daycare Mothercraft Ottawa We know there is usually a long wait list and are expecting this to take time.   Hi Sasha, When I moved here I used a website called Daycare Bear ( http://www.daycarebear.ca/ ). I found full time daycare here which I have been using for almost 3 years now. If you don't find someone on the list, it is still worth calling just to get word of mouth recommendations from them.

  As a provider, I use the two groups above to advertise my spaces. I also use www.daycarebear.ca - What's nice about that is the amount of info. a provider can include about the daycare itself, so you'll get a good feel for what the place is like before contacting. (The site is Canada wide, but search for spaces via city/postal code)
