I keep seeing requests for referrals to builders, contractors, etc. with the phrase "for a reasonable price". As someone married to a builder, I wonder, and often ask, what does this mean? My husband is a highly skilled craftsman, who has developed his abilities to build many things with beauty, utility, and precision. Those who want craftspeople to provide their work at "reasonable" rates often mean cheap. Handmade things built to last are not cheap, and those who create them deserve to be paid for their expertise just as any other highly skilled professional does.
