There's not a vet in this area that will do payment arrangements without some SERIOUSLY extenuating circumstances. You can thank prior deadbeat clients for that one. Care Credit would be an option & most vets in the area accept it. Unfortunately, at th is hour, you're looking at an emergency vet if you want to be seen tonight. If you're looking for a good clinic that I'm sure will have openings tomorrow, try Pine Meadow in Yorktown. Their number is 757-599-3326 & they have 4 doctors, all of which are excellent & I'm very picky about who I recommend for a veterinarian. I've worked for 16 so far, in 3 different states, & not all of them would be recommended by me. smile emoticon You're looking at an initial evaluation definitely, possible x-rays, possible fine needle aspirate, possibly biopsy, maybe bloodwork. It all depends on what the doctor finds upon examination. Unfortunately, lumps on the leg can be so many different things. This may not be a cheap visit. Please be prepared for that possibility & let the clinic know what you're comfortable working with, financially, when you schedule the appointment. That will help you avoid any awkward discussion of "I didn't realize the visit was gonna cost so much. I've only got x amount of money to pay right now". Also, you can ask for a treatment plan after the initial exam prior to any further diagnostics or services are done, that way you can discuss what you can & can't afford with the doctor & they can help you decide which services to proceed with to get the "bang for your buck". Hope everything goes well!
