Desperately seeking a plumber.
It seems that we have some burst pipes at Grace's Places' Annex property after 80 hours without heat. The building is uninhabitable, and 20 tenants are without homes. Our regular plumber started repairs today, but was feeling unwell in the morning, and by mid-day was so ill that he had to go home. I spent several hours trying to find a Toronto plumber to take over, but thousands of buildings have burst pipes and every plumber in the city is booked solid for the next week... notwithstanding my offer of $250 per hour to work on Saturday.
I'm thinking that I might do better by hiring a plumber from some place that did not lose electricity for six days... maybe Barrie.
Does anyone know of a licensed plumber who is not booked solid for the next week? (Or is not in vacationing in Florida).
For that matter, does anyone know of a town that escaped the ice storm?
