DO NOT GO TO JENNIE TESKE!!!! During my first appointment, I explained how I wanted my hair and even had a picture. After she highlighted my hair it was very blotchy, dingy, and way too light. The highlights looked very harsh next to my natural color. I always try to go home, wash and style my hair myself before I judge it. Immediately I could tell it looked terrible and wasn't how I wanted it at all. I made another appointment to go back and have it fixed. She charged me again to fix it but I didn't have a choice because it looked so terrible. After I had it fixed, it didn't look too bad but it wasn't how I had wanted it. It was darker than I wanted and the highlights were too stripy. But I was just happy it didn't look as bad as it did the first time. For my second appointment I decided to give her a second chance. I know sometimes it takes a couple visits for a new stylist to learn how you like your hair done and how your particular hair pulls color, etc. I again explained how I wanted it done and brought a picture. SHE DID IT THE SAME WAY! It was way to light, blotchy, and the highlights were very harsh. I told her I didn't like it and it was the same way she messed up during the first appointment. She told me she would need to add a lowlight because she finally realized my previous stylist had been using two colors on my hair. She told me I could come back in a week and have it fixed. I came back for the second appointment and she added a lowlight. She charged me again to fix it. She originally told me what I wanted would cost $80. Then she told me she didn't know I would need another color and charged me another $115!!! I left the appointment and was immediately unhappy with my hair. She didn't get the color close enough to my roots so It looked like my roots already had two months of grow out. Also, instead of the lowlights being a light brown color they were orange. I tried to live with it for a week and see if washing it helped. It still looked terrible and since I was taking family pictures in a couple weeks I decided to tell Jennie I was unhappy with it and I would like to have it fixed. I text her two weeks after id been in to have it fixed the first time. I waited till after the holiday and also to give my hair a little time in between coloring (I had a small piece in the front break off from having it dyed again the first fix). I asked her if I could come in to talk about fixing my hair. She told me I should find someone else to do my hair because she doesn't know how to do it right. I asked her since she was unable to fix it if she would refund my money. She told me I waited to long to tell her I didn't like it and she couldn't give me a refund. I told her I took pictures immediately after my appointment showing the orange color and dark roots. She also knew I wasn't happy when I left the salon. She told me I wasn't a customer she could make happy. She also blamed my previous stylist for her not knowing that she should add lowlights to match the color. She said "The fact that your outgrowth is a different color because your old stylist did low lights is not on my shoulders." Ive had several stylists previously color my hair and this is the first time I had ever had to go back to have it fixed, pay more, and then be told to go somewhere else with no refund. Ive also NEVER had a stylist not be able to tell that I had highlights and lowlights and then blame the previous stylist when she colored it and didn't match the color. After continuing to message her she finally agreed to refund $35 out of the $115 I paid to have her do my hair. She said she couldn't offer a full refund because she did it exactly how I asked! I didn't ask for orange hair and I didn't ask to pay $115 to have roots when I leave the salon. If I could copy paste our whole conversation in here I would! TRUST ME!!! SAVE YOURSELF!! DO NOT GO TO JENNIE TESKE!!!
