Toe Loop opens its door in 2008 in the vivid and multicultural Berlin’s district of Neuköln, in the peaceful and hype Weserstraße.
Oliver Strupp’s intention is to give freedom to tattoo artists to create and offer their own style, as well as to explore and develop their creativity. Having experienced in his beginning the financial pressure while creating, Oliver’s vision is also to give to the young tattoo artists a shelter for their work without having financial troubles.
The studio is designed as a work-inspiring space where the tattooists can exchange with one another their knowledge, experiences and skills; but also as a warm and cosy place where the customers can relax and enjoy the Toe Loop experience.
Toe Loop has hosted the first steps into the tattoo world of Julia Rehme, then Valentin Hirsch, Chaim Machlev (DotsToLines), Mark Noel, Jak Rapmund, Mirja Fenris and Axel Esjmont. They all have succeeded in imposing their own personal style to the tattoo scene in Berlin and beyond.
The studio is hosting today a creative team composed of its four residents: Oliver, Silvia (Blustorm), Gael Cleinow (Hand Job) and Ana (Ana-Work).
Looking for a good tattoo shop! So I've been looking around for a bit, collecting opinions and such. Since there are so many in Berlin, does anyone have a specific recommendation?
Bin schon seit einer Weile auf der Suche nach nem guten Tätowierer. Da es in Berlin echt viele gibt wollt ich mal fragen ob irgendwer eine spezifische Empfehlung hat.

Can anyone offer a personal recommendation for the absolute best tattoo artist in Amsterdam who specializes in multi-line text?
Christine F. replied:
I don't know if this is what you mean with multi-line --- and this guy is actually in Berlin --- but Chaim Machlev (Dots to Lines) is world-renowned for his work. Perhaps its worth a trip? http://www.dotstolines.com/
