  Joy: Looking for others who live in the tract south of Lakewood High School between Harvey Way and Carson, Bellflower and Woodruff. Verizon cellular service is very poor here -- they admit they need to add an antenna here. My calls usually go directly to voice mail. If you live in this area, can you recommend another company?

  Melanie Corral "All services use the same towers... just fyi." Is not true... 1) different carriers can have their antennas on the same building. Or 2) Have their towers in the same area, but they never share the same tower... Also, though Sprint and Verizon are both CDMA technology and AT&T and T-Mobile are GSM, and all four have 4G(4 th generation/version technology) their 4G are in fact different and can not be on the same tower. Each phones antenna output will vary, with higher end phones being better, but not always. The best solution is to get a cell booster by a reputable company like Wilson Electronics. They stand by their product and will boost the cell signal for your home and/or car. I've worked first hand for both AT&T and Verizon doing contract system upgrades and have been to many of the sites in use in the area. Just thought I'd shed a little light in both areas of the technology and how to stop cursing at your phone when you have no bars... BTW, a dropped call happens when the call you're on doesn't get handed off from one cell tower to the next. There are many reasons for this. ;O) http://www.wilsonelectronics.com/
