Some one told me that "Gypsy" Bolen passed away, I had not seen that so does anyone know if that is true. I know he was an auctioneer around Raleigh County for years, not my kind of auction but he seemed to draw a crowd.

Today's Register: Posted: Tuesday, August 19, 2014 3:00 am Robert “Bob” “Gypsy” Bolen, age 81, of Glen Morgan, WV, passed away at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley on Saturday, August 16, 2014. Born on March 31, 1933, in Lillybrook, WV, he was the son of the late George Bolen and Lucinda Smith Bolen. Mr. Bolen was a well-known auctioneer in the Beckley area, and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. “Gypsy” loved his work as an auctioneer and also going prospecting for Gold. He was preceded in death by brothers, Floyd and Bert, his sister Mary Turner, by half brothers, Vessie and Dane, and by a half sister Janey Leach. Surviving are his wife Debra Pannell Bolen, his children, Rebecca Fadlevich and her husband Mike of Beckley, and Mark Bolen and his wife Rachele of Sophia. Grandchildren, Chase, Alyssa, and Addison Fadlevich, Rhett, Scarlet, and Wade Lawson, great-grandchildren, Ryder and Rylan Lawson. A brother, Clifford Bolen of Princeton. Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Harmon Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley. Friends may visit with the family from noon until service time on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to the Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV, in memory of Robert Bolen.
