  Get Angie's list. I've used it for at least 10 years. Not only will it help you find a reliable mechanic but just about anything else you need. I gave my son's pediatrician a subscription when her husband passed and she needed to select workmen for her home. I chose my Porsche mechanic, electrician, plumber, and FP from there after reading members' reviews. Now if you're up north, you can just see my guys at Eurocare, 21811 Tomball Pkwy, 281-320-2305.
