Looking for hair stylist recommendations for wedding up-do I'm relatively unfamiliar with the Ottawa area (lived in Ottawa for the first 2 years of my adult life and then moved away for the next 4) and I am looking for a recommendation for a good, consistent hairstylist. I am getting married in Metcalfe in September and I'm now in the market to find a hair stylist. I would like to do a relatively elaborate updo and my hair is thick, fairly frizzy with lots of baby hairs (ugh) and falls to just above my shoulder blades. I would love to find one in the south end but I am willing to go anywhere this side of Kanata if they're really worth it. Obviously I would like to keep costs down but I know that I get what I pay for so I am willing to be flexible. Anyone have any recommendations or suggestions? Thanks in advance!

[Hair Republic](http://www.hairrepublic.ca/) on Bank. I've seen them do an entire wedding party all at once.
Good yet cheap hairdressers in downtown Ottawa? I'm not from Ottawa and usually get my hair cut when I go home, and the last time I tried somewhere in Ottawa it was an awful experience. However I'm only going home on Christmas Eve and just decided I'd like to go back to my natural colour for Christmas. I'm looking for somewhere close to downtown hopefully and not too expensive (30-35$ for a cut, 50-60$ for a dye - light brown - for medium length hair). I realize that I might not even be able to get an appointment at this point since it's so close to Christmas but if not I'll get it done after Christmas and I'll still need your advice.
Thanks!

I suggest [Hair Republic] (http://www.hairrepublic.ca/) right beside Life of Pie (Roughly Bank and Sunnyside). Excellent service, and you really get what you pay for. If you're a student you get 20% off some weekdays except for Friday.
