  I'm a modern minimalist (as I call it) and I've been hunting for something that can withstand a NY winter and not feel like I'm going to need to replace it within 20-30yrs. So far... I'm leaning towards a pole barn home as it seems to fit many of the needs I have with zoning and my appreciation for open concept. In my county here in New York they have a 900sqft requirement and in the specific area that I want to build in, it does not allow Mobile Homes/Seasonal RV/Campers (which doesn't specifically fit my lifestyle anyway). Does anyone have any specific examples of a small permanent home that might fall within these required parameters and has 2 bedrooms?
